Our Adolescent Pottery Classes are a 10-week creative journey for young people aged 10–15, offering a hands-on introduction to working with clay in a calm, supportive studio environment.
Classes are taught by a fully qualified Waldorf teacher, with a strong emphasis on age-appropriate learning, creativity, and skill development. The teaching approach encourages focus, confidence, and self-expression while allowing each student to work at their own pace.
Throughout the term, students will learn the foundations of ceramics, including handbuilding techniques such as pinching, coiling, and slab building, as well as basic wheel work. The focus is on creating functional, usable pieces, while gaining an understanding of the full ceramic process from raw clay to finished work.
No prior experience is required.
